J.R. Emrich is the owner and President of Metro Roofing Company and Reroof America Contractors. Metro Roofing Company was started in Oklahoma City in 1979 and in 1992 the company was expanded and began growing with multi-state locations operating under the name of Reroof America Contractors.
J.R. is Past President of ORCA and is currently the Chairman of the Roofing Examiners Committee at the Construction Industries Board for the State of Oklahoma that oversees OK Roofer Registration and Commercial Roofing Endorsement for residential and commercial roofing contractors in Oklahoma.

Gideon Steel Panel Company
David was born and raised in Oklahoma City, received Business Administration degree with emphasis in Marketing from the University of Oklahoma, received master’s in business administration (MBA) from Oklahoma City University.
Prior to starting Gideon Steel Panel Company, LLC in 2005, worked in the steel supply chain for approx. 13 years providing flat rolled steel sheets and coils to OEM's primarily in the HVAC industry and building products (used in metal roofing and metal buildings). Gideon Steel is a five-time recipient of the Metro 50 award which recognizes the top fifty fastest growing companies by the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce. Gideon's growth is attributed to the Company philosophy of "Do it right the first time, always strive for zero defects, treat people the way you want to be treated"; attracting likeminded people (employees) to embrace and carry out this corporate philosophy; attracting likeminded Customers who see the value in the way Gideon handles it's business.
Continuing education includes certification of the MCA Metal Roof Installation Training Program by the Metal Construction Association, certification for Pre-Engineered Metal Building systems for Red-iron training and Concealed Fastener Roof systems and has attended many other AIA CE related courses to promote the advancement of steel products. Enjoys learning and teaching "best practices" methods of installation for the products Gideon Steel manufactures and distributes.
David has served on ORCA's board of directors since 2015 with direct involvement with the Education Committee as well as hosted Metal Roofing 101 and 201 classes at the Roofing Expo sponsored by ORCA. David has been happily married since 1996 with three kids (all young men).
Merlin Law Group
Drew Houghton is a native Texan who has been practicing insurance law since 1998. Drew began practicing in insurance defense before starting his own private practice as a plaintiff lawyer in 2003. In 2011, Drew merged his practice with a south Oklahoma City plaintiff firm where he represented numerous Oklahoma tornado victims. Before joining Merlin Law Group in July of 2018, Drew also worked with Merlin Law Group attorneys as a co-counsel on more than one hundred Oklahoma bad faith cases.
As a trail lawyer, Drew focuses on insurance and bad faith litigation advocating for the right of commercial and residential policyholders against their insurance companies for failing to deal fairly and in good faith during the claim process.Prior to entering law school at Oklahoma City University, Drew worked for two Texas civil litigations law firms that represented both plaintiff and defense interests. These experiences sharpened Drew’s broad understanding and unique perspective regarding litigations and trial strategy.Presently, Drew represents clients in all Oklahoma State and Federal Courts and has represented oral argument before the United States Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Drew is a member of the American Bar Association, Oklahoma Bar Association, American Association of Justice, Oklahoma Association for Justice, the Robert J. turner Inn of court, and he is admitted to practice law in Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, and Washington State.
Drew is also currently a board member for the Oklahoma Roofing Contractors Association and foundation for south Oklahoma City.
CEO and Founder
Derik Kline is a self-described weather nerd. From an early age, he has been fascinated by severe weather. A true Oklahoman, Derik went on his first storm chase at the age of sixteen. As the owner of Hail Trace LLC, he carries that same passion into every interaction.
His drive to succeed has helped him establish the number one weather consulting business in the industry. He is focused on bringing the best products and customer service to the restoration world. If he is not spending time with his amazing wife and four children, you can probably find him pursuing his other love, storm chasing.
Meredith Marsh-Shaevitz was born to a military family. Growing up all over the United States, her father was stationed at Tinker AFB where she ended up planting roots and building a life, family, and multiple businesses. Meredith is a self-professed organizer of life and a Serial Entrepreneur. She is passionate about Business Management, Education, General Contracting, Roofing, High Performance Coaching and Real Estate. Through building connections and lasting relationships with industry professionals and clientele, she has been able to help other companies grow and establish their own footprints in their industries. She received her B.A. from Southern Nazarene University in Organizational Leadership in 2010, followed by an MBA from Oklahoma Christian University in 2013.
She has been in Business Management for over 25 years and in the Roofing industry since 2011. Meredith founded Pitch Perfect Roofing and General Contracting with her Veteran wife, Casey, in 2018. They will celebrate 10 years together in July, and have 4 children (Danica 13, Drake 11 and 4 yr old twins Dawson & Delaney). When they aren’t working you can find them traveling and seeking fun adventures.
Prior to Pitch Perfect Roofing & General Contracting Meredith was the CFO for a locally owned Roofing company for 7 years before going out on her own in 2018. She believes in empowering women in the Roofing Industry. She is a member of National Women in Roofing (NWIR) and shares common goals of Mentoring, Education, Networking and Recruiting with like-minded Women. NWIR is for both Women and Men who support Women in the Roofing Industry.
Meredith’s passion for life is to help others achieve their goals. She has always approached this through education. Developing strong and effective communication through personal and business relationships is key to providing these services. Most days, you can find her building business plans, streamlining infrastructure and standard operating procedures for new or existing companies, or working alongside with investors & homeowners on plans & renovation budgets for their next project.
First thing first Victor is very grateful for our team and that we get to positively impact our customers every single day. Victor enjoy spending time with his wife, two kids, and enjoy's collecting fountain pens, writing, and he loves growing corals in my reef tank.

Shelley is the Executive Director of ORCA. Previously, Shelley worked as an Events Director wearing many hats in her role. Shelley grew up in Minnesota and graduated from Tulsa Community College with a degree in Business of Occupational Science.
